Kim Silvio - You ever hear of the time he went to the undue influence conference chaired by Steve Hassan? His first child was just born and he took Dijana and Jessica with him to London. I believe it was Marc Latham who met him in the lobby and greeted them. Lloyd was more concerned about getting to the conference and setting himself up to speak so he left his newborn and wife down there and hurried up the stairs. Marc had to help Dijana with taking the pram carefully to the stairs as there was no lift. Lloyd found out there were just sitting at a table and wanted a podium for himself. He was upset.

On his book tour the first event was at a coffee shop in London. He had just crowdfunded nearly $22,000 to finish the book and insisted on selling it at the highest price Amazon would allow. A subscriber of his arranged the entire thing. When she met Lloyd she asked if she could see the book but he refused, telling her she needed to purchase it. Also Lloyd insisted on a cover charge to get near him which was news to the coffee shop management as they were not notified and it was against their policy as they were allowing him there for free. Lloyd worried that he would run out of pens for the signing.

He also crowdfunded for the Spanish translation of TRA. The translators were unpaid volunteers so he pocketed the cash. Lloyd insisted the translators have experience in that field and wanted them to submit their CV. He would only give them one chapter at a time to translate. When some wanted the whole book so they can get a grasp of it, he told them they needed to purchase the book. The Spanish translation was eventually aborted. Lloyd got paid for doing nothing. The volunteers were never compensated for their time and trouble.

I keep coming back to this... 2 months in Thailand. Now it's not exactly Monte Carlo or the Swiss Alps, but two months spent on hotels, excursions, scuba lessons, meals, transportation, hookers, all while leaving enough money for the wife to pay the bills back home...? That's a shit tonne of money. And he seemed to not blink in making these plans right after he got back from Texas.

Yet he keeps changing the story on what revenue stream was enough to pay for all this. First it was the book revenue, now it's Google ads, all designed to keep us from looking at the crown jewel of his empire.

He used this forum to promote his site when he first started. I can't remember if he was already out at that point (heck, I don't really know if he's genuinely "out" even now, LOL) but he gave us all early access to how he worked and what he was like.

Simon - The survey thing came a little later. He started asking for money for a SurveyMonkey subscription and Lady Lee shut him down. He started attacking her in return.

He first came on here because he sent an email to jwfacts about how he noticed the WT dramatisation of the Cedar Point convention didn't include the huge American flags beside Rutherford in the original photo. jwfacts posted an article about it, and he couldn't stand to remain anonymous, thus he chose the name "cedars" and posted on Paul's thread that he was the one who sent the email.

Thanks for adding new details to this saga. I hope you continue to fill us in and perhaps even make a comprehensive post of what happened from your POV and don't feel the need to editorialise it. With everything Lloyd, it explains itself. It does make more sense now that in his "I'm Taking a Break" video he gave a specific time frame he would come back to making videos (2 months, starting in March). I found it disingenuous at the very beginning. If it was that bad of a mid-life crisis as he was advertising, then you don't cap it with a specified amount of time. Now we know it was to flee his wife, continue to collect donations whilst living in relative comfort in Thailand and frequent sex workers. You were DEAD ON in what you did. In fact you probably should have shortened his holiday by making the statement in early January.

Do you know Lloyd personally? You must do!! I am quite freaked out in this forum as to how well you all seem to know the "real Lloyd". Your comments about the friend of Dijana's could have been me typing....this is freaking me out!

We have a history on this forum. He irritated me when he suggested I was using a font that was designed to crash other people's browsers and that was the reason why he was the only one arguing with me. He also was being a condescending prick and scolded people for responding to him so late as we were keeping him up and as a result were taking him away from his wife and thus harming(!) his marriage.

With that said, I'll present you with a couple selections out of the "Lloyd Evans - Greatest Hits" album

Synopsis #1: Lloyd writes one of his early JWSurvey articles about WT possibly losing Patterson to Candace Conti and asks for "feedback". A few people who knew better were trying to tell him it was a legal maneuver by WT to avoid handing Conti a cash settlement she could spend prior to appeal. It made more sense to put up Patterson as collateral but Lloyd was insistent that Conti could actually end up owning the property. He then retaliates by involving the Contis themselves by posting messages supposedly from them telling everyone to back off Cedars. He ended up getting several people banned on this thread:

Synopsis #2: A poster makes contact with a reporter about an issue and makes the mistake of posting the email itself to Lloyd and others. Lloyd immediately usurps this contact and tells the poster "thanks for your help", saying he'll take it from there. That didn't go down well and towards the end he was absolutely melting down, asking in pity for posters to take their shots at him.

In his book, he briefly described his courtship with her. It immediately got off to an awkward start when she pronounced her name for him and he lamely quipped "oh just like Princess Diana". She then excused herself and he claimed that a rivalry for her affections began between himself and two other pioneer brothers. They would make friendly wagers on whom she would choose, though there seemed to be a consensus that Lloyd was in last place. Lloyd upped his game and started following her round with a video camera recording her every move. When their stay in Croatia ended, she ended up giving her contact details which he utilised frequently when back in the UK. It seemed like it was a game to hm, like he "won" her over two better looking suitors. Minor point but even by his own admission it seemed she was a prize to be attained to show the other two pioneers who were after her who won.

"I had a friend once but he didn't like her" is such a sad indictment of a relationship. I hope she starts to spread her wings and learns to expand her own social network so he isn't in such complete control of her life. It's not like she is the one in a foreign country so she has that advantage after all.

Now this is vintage Lloyd. What made Lloyd not like her friend? Did she not praise him at very opportunity? My guess is she was polite but distant and they started speaking Croatian round him which he did not understand and he thought she was telling her friend about his controlling nature and infidelities. He then probably staged a meltdown which ended up with him in tears, saying how he did not want anyone to get in between them.

Her loss of that friend has paid off dividends for him now as I am quite certain that friend of hers would have talked some sense into her to either boot him from the house or take the girls with her and stay at the friend's home.

This is how manipulators and abusers operate.

There was also this strange comment made by him that her mum was crying with Dijana when she found out Lloyd was leaving for Thailand. This makes no sense as what JW or non-JW mum would cry about her apostate son-in-law leaving for Thailand after just getting busted for hooking up in Texas? Good riddance, and three weeks is more than enough time to move all his possessions into the barn for pickup when he returns.

I asked dijana whether she had anyone to talk to and she said no. I asked why she didn’t have any friends and her response to me was “I had a friend once but lloyd didn’t like her”.

This comment right here tells me a lot about their relationship. It's insane that while she lived there for most of her life and speaks the language, she has no friends. Sure, JWs play a part in that but there has to be someone she knows. Looks like Lloyd took care of that. Manipulative and abusive men will always fight tooth and nail against a woman developing friendships primarily because they are going to be the first to notice this. The best way to control someone is to isolate them and I think Lloyd has her right where he wants her. Alone, no friends, stuck with two kids and her elderly parents are her only outlet. Being single with two young children is exactly the ball and chain threat Lloyd needs.

You also stated that Dijana was neutral about you coming out with the info. I doubt she's stupid and well knew what this would mean for Lloyd. I take that to be an ambivalence on her part - She felt Lloyd was out of control and this would neuter him, yet she also didn't want to throw everything into disarray whilst doing it. I think she has carefully stayed away from this due to fear of her husband, his temper and the stupid things he might do in retaliation had she been the one. She also doesn't mind seeing his power trip end.

So Dijana told you she was divorcing him? When did you hear that? Any other details about hiring an attorney, etc?

Severance TV Show

we watched the season 1 finale of this apple tv series last night.

what an amazingly well-done show!.

it's a surreal world, but based in our own, and you don't have a clue where the plot is really headed but the drama builds all the way through.. there were some major reveals about the characters and it ended on a peach of a cliffhanger, so if there isn't a series 2 already in production i'll be storming apple hq to ask why.. some of it may give you wts vibes, the cult-like world they live in and the "forced" celebrations for various things, but while some of it is a little "sci-fi" it's kind of believable.. in case you don't know the main premise is that it follows people around their work at a company with a very sterile-like environment.

I loved it. You really don't have any clue as to where it is headed and people you thought you had pegged were nothing of the sort. The last two episodes really start to sort things out and it left you begging for an episode 10 and beyond. Apple has confirmed it for a second season.

Minor Spoiler: Pay attention to the character of Helly R. Who she is in real life really places into context what happened in the early episodes. You'll have to wait until episode 9 to get that answer but its well worth the wait.

I think the "confession" video may have been a miscalculation.

To put it mildly. For someone who often lies about even trivial things, this was actually something he should have lied about. Think about it. It would evolved into a "he said/she said" battle with Kim Silvio and he'd have won it hands down. Even when the pic his wife sent Silvio of him and the hooker was released, he claimed it wasn't a sex worker.

Right. Like Thai locals in Pa Tong are quick to sit on the lap of an obese and disheveled foreigner for a selfie with no money down or even some compensation promised.

So he lies about the hooker being just a local he met and befriended but admits on camera for 90 minutes that he did go there for sex workers. Only the one on the pic that was circulated just happened to be not a prostitute.

At least keep the lies consistent. I think he miscalculated with the livestream and figured his trolls would silence the people who supported Silvio making it into a "she's jealous because I wouldn't pay her and she wanted her own channel and fame..." argument. Then he attempted to backtrack and use the "none of your business" tactic. Only it didn't work and two statements later he found himself severed from just about every activist and even the documentary he was working on.

He's so entangled into his bullshit that he's this amazing guy that he actually believes it and thinks he's too big to fail. He might still have enough patrons to keep his finances afloat but the damage done to his reputation is the part of the iceberg below the water line. Not only is he not being invited anywhere, him showing up for his regular meet-ups is likely to bring out a few people who are going to let him hear it.

Also shocking is the number of women in prostitution who suffered Childhood Sexual Abuse, which makes visiting prostitutes wholly inappropriate for anyone to do, but especially anyone who claims to be some kind of CSA advocate.

Show those surveys to him and I'll show you someone who thinks none of those apply to him because he used to be a JW. For someone whose bread and butter for years were touting anonymous online surveys which asked lame and leading questions, you'll find all of a sudden he doesn't believe in surveys anymore.

Many people including myself filled out false information on his surveys to see if he had any method of filtering it out (I identified as an active circuit overseer), yet there he was waving it around like he was Oliver Stone thinking he just exposed a major schism in the WT hierarchy.

I believe that is exactly what is happening, or at very least the reason that relationship seemingly continues to linger. Open the wiki page for Sisak and you'll find out that unless you are a farmer or wish to work at an oil refinery or textile factory, your job prospects are practically nil. Now place yourself in the shoes of a woman approaching 40 with two young girls whose resume consists of janitorial work, au pair and translating documents from your home "office" that your husband took credit for. And you haven't really worked that job since 2014.

He has her right where he wants her and probably jumped at the chance when she told him she wanted kids. His behaviour these past few years within that marriage he had to have thought there was little chance she would leave him due to financial dependence.

Well, "Mrs. Cedars" (the handle he bestowed on her when she joined and wasted no time in implying her English wasn't good and would probably only be trading recipes with other exJW women), there is such a thing called dignity and self-respect. I know your husband manipulates the hell out of you, so take what I have to say however you may. I'd rather live a pauper's life than subject myself and my daughters to a lying, filthy and disgusting human being such as the one you married.

Be cross at me all you want, I'm just giving it to you straight up.
